Why I Want to Study Japanese ^.^
I want to study Japanese for several reasons. One is that I'm a huge fan of animes, J dramas, J-pop/other Japanese music, and manga. I thought that learning the language would make the experience more enjoyable. Even with the limited words I know now, it's made watching the shows and listening to the music even more exciting. I also have a few close friends who are Japanese, and I've always wanted to visit them. Learning enough of the language to travel would bring me that much closer to my dream of visiting Japan. I think the most challenging thing in the past few weeks hasn't been the language itself. I haven't taken a class like this (one that meets every day) for three years, so it's been interesting trying to adjust back to this class format. I've enjoyed the class so far and look forward to the semester!

ReplyDeleteI love Ouran High School Host Club, InuYasha, Sailor Moon, Fullmetal Alchemist, and so many others. I also really love Miyazaki movies. I just love the music and the art ^.^

ReplyDeleteI love the stories and the music. I like watching regular TV, but there's something so fun with anime. The magic, the characters, etc. If you tried translating the stuff that happens in anime into real life, it wouldn't really work. It'd just look ridiculous.
DeleteI definitely also enjoy the scope that the medium allows for. One that I find interesting is Psycho-Pass; the second season is just starting to air, so if you're at all interested, I'd highly recommend checking it out. Which genres are your favorites?

DeleteI wouldn't say I have a favorite genre per say. I like light, happy animes like Ouran High School Host Club and Kamisama Kiss, but at the same time I really like darker animes like Elfen Lied. If you have any other recommendations, I'd love to hear them.
